VIVA LA ROCK 2021 describes Fujii Kaze's main-festival appearance at VIVA LA ROCK 2021 and his participation in VIVA LA J-ROCK ANTHEMS.

The official daily summary report described Kaze as unquestionably the number one act of the day in terms of expectation and attention. It highlighted how an artist who had opened the GARDEN STAGE in 2019 was positioned in 2021 as that day's most anticipated act.[3]
The same report also noted that Kaze performed "Kirari" as its first-ever performance on Earth, and that the stage combined a full-band groove with his flexible piano playing.[3]

Kaze also participated the next day in VIVA LA J-ROCK ANTHEMS as a guest vocalist. The official news page announced him as one of the five guest vocalists for 2021.[4]
SPICE and Skream! likewise reported that Kaze would appear in the project as a guest vocalist.[5][6]
According to the official summary report, Kaze sang "LA・LA・LA LOVE SONG" at the beginning of the project. The report says he appeared standing in front of the piano under a spotlight, and the floor immediately rose to its feet.[7]
Online streaming
VIVA LA ROCK 2021 was also livestreamed as a paid event under the name VIVA LA! ONLINE 2021. The official news page said that selected performances and backstage talks from the GREAT STAGE, ULTRA STAGE, and CAVE STAGE would be streamed.[8][9]
Reception
When Billboard JAPAN reported that Kaze's "Kirari" had reached number one on HOT BUZZ SONG, it mentioned his appearance at VIVA LA ROCK 2021 on May 3 and the livestream on May 7 as possible factors behind the song's rising visibility.[10]
Additional note
At VIVA LA ROCK 2021, socially distanced seating with one empty seat between attendees was introduced, and signed message sheets from performers were displayed. Fujii Kaze's sign and message were also published on the official site.[11]
