Fujii Kaze - Kirari (Official Video) |
Kirari (きらり) is a song by Fujii Kaze. It was released as a single on May 3, 2021 by HEHN RECORDS / Universal Music. It is the opening track of the album LOVE ALL SERVE ALL, released on March 23, 2022.
Overview
The song was written for the commercial of HONDA's VEZEL automobile.
Fujii Kaze talked about the song on the live stream "HAPPY GW Nesoberi Stream" as follows[1].
There's this new song called Kirari that became the VEZEL CM song. The only theme I was given was just one phrase — "Good Groove" — and I worked from there. It happened to be a time when I was wanting to make something with that kind of laid-back, groovy mood, so the song came together really easily; it just came down to me. People have shown so much love for it, and I've been feeling really happy.
Commercial performance
By the time of LOVE ALL SERVE ALLTemplate:'s release in March 2022, "Kirari"Template:'s cumulative streaming count on the Billboard JAPAN Weekly Streaming chart had passed 200 million plays, as reported in Billboard JAPAN's album announcement.[2]

Self Liner Notes
According to Fujii Kaze's official self liner notes (published during the "LOVE ALL SERVE ALL" Listening Party and on the official app),
He explained that the HONDA VEZEL commercial was the catalyst for the song's birth, and that this song reached the widest audience he had ever had so far. The light, free, breezy pop quality matched his own image, and he looked back on it as an especially fortunate song.
