Hana (花, "flower") is a song by Fujii Kaze. It was released as a digital single on October 13, 2023,[1] and was later included on the Pre: Prema DISC 2 of the first-press edition of Prema and on the standalone digital release of Pre: Prema on April 3, 2026.[2]
Background
"Hana" was written as the theme song for the Fuji TV Thursday Theatre drama series Ichiban Suki na Hana (My Beloved Flower), which aired in the October 2023 television season and starred Tabe Mikako, Matsushita Kōhei, Imada Mio, and Kamio Fūju as the quartet leads.[3] The drama's central theme is friendship between men and women; in the series finale, Fujii Kaze made a surprise appearance on the show's set, performing the song live in the story's setting.[3]
The song was produced by British producer A. G. Cook.[4] Music blog Random J Pop notes that Fujii Kaze had posted a studio photograph with A. G. Cook as early as spring 2022, and "Hana" is the public result of sessions continuing from that period.[5]
