ARIWA is a Japanese singer. She is the vocalist and trombonist of the band ASOUND.[1][2]
In Fujii Kaze's live activities, she participated as a chorus singer in Fujii Kaze Stadium Live "Feelin' Good".[3]

ARIWA is the frontperson of ASOUND, a band formed in 2020. Sony Music's profile describes ASOUND as a band centered on ARIWA, whose overwhelming vocal ability was developed through study in New York, and whose sound presents an original style unconstrained by genres such as reggae, R&B, and jazz.[1]

History
Her mother is SAYOKO, known as the vocalist of ZELDA. On GRAMMY.com, in an article introducing the Japanese reggae scene, ARIWA is described as the vocalist of ASOUND and the daughter of SAYOKO.[5]
According to an interview with Pia Music, she studied abroad in the United States and Jamaica. In the U.S., she attended a language school while performing repeatedly at open-mic bars, and was influenced by live performances from Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, Lauryn Hill, and H.E.R.[6]
ASOUND appeared at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '22 in 2022, Yokohama Reggae Sai The Final -vibez Of Yokohama and RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2023 in EZO in 2023. In 2024, the band released its 3rd EP Lovely Freak and held a nationwide tour.[1]
On the January 31, 2026 broadcast of J-WAVE's SAPPORO BEER OTOAJITO, ARIWA said that ASOUND would go on hiatus after its March 26, 2026 live show, and that she wanted to pursue experimental music in the UK incorporating lovers rock, reggae, dub, and UK jazz.[7]

Fujii Kaze Stadium Live “Feelin' Good”
ARIWA participated as Vocals. ARIWA(ASOUND) in Fujii Kaze Stadium Live "Feelin' Good" held at Nissan Stadium on August 24 and 25, 2024. The performer listing also names Emoh Les as a vocalist alongside ARIWA.[3]
In the official English live report for the show, the band lineup is described as including Yaffle, TAIKING, Osami Kobayashi, Nobuhide Saiji, Takashi Fukuoka, and ARIWA (ASOUND) and Emoh Les on backing vocals. The report also says that during "Shinunoga E-Wa", the voices of Fujii Kaze, ARIWA, and Emoh Les blended organically to create a beautiful harmony.[8]
ASOUND's official X account announced before the performance that "ARIWA will participate as chorus", and after the performance reported that "ARIWA participated as chorus".[9][10]
